Senior Project Engineers required for our respected Global Aerospace client based in Dorset. Our global aerospace client is looking for skilled project engineers who may be interested in this challenging Senior project role.
Key Responsibilities – Senior Project Engineer
1. The use of mechanical and/or systems engineering knowledge and processes within a product lifecycle.
2. Executing all stages of the system lifecycle like, requirements management, validation, systems design, development, integration, verification, and qualification as per the company standard processes and customer requirements.
3. Being responsible for planning the engineering tasks and generation of engineering management plans.
4. Converting customer and other stakeholder requirements to define, analyse, and inform the total project solution.
5. To engage with suppliers and customers to ensure the solution meets their expectations.
6. Managing engineering change to ensure system integrity throughout the life-cycle, and ensuring traceability of all key design decisions.
7. Providing support in all areas of the product lifecycle and delivering a totally integrated solution.
8. Planning and scheduling engineering design gate reviews, engaging with other functions e.g. airworthiness, safety to ensure the project delivery milestones are fully met.
9. Managing technical risks and opportunities that may have a direct/indirect effect on the delivery of the project and system.
10. Liaising with the engineering leadership and programme management teams to ensure the project is adequately resourced and support to identify any potential capability shortfalls.
11. Driving continuous improvement and incorporating effective systems engineering management practices.
Qualifications & Requirements – Senior Project Engineer
1. You will hold an engineering degree or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience.
2. You will have experience in one or more of the following - mechanical, electro-mechanical, fluid, mechanisms, structures, or systems product development.
3. You are motivated and proactive, driving solutions to completion.
4. You will have a comprehensive appreciation and understanding of the engineering product life cycle.
5. Have acquired experience in requirements management and verification (Experience in a requirements management tool like DOORS/CRADLE would be beneficial).
6. You have an appreciation for Systems Engineering Management.
7. Have held engineering sign-off for documents.
8. You are a natural problem solver, with a solutions-focused mindset.
