Job Description
Application Support Engineer required. My client is a leading software company based in Crowborough.
The successful candidate will be joining a team of 25 people. You will be working on a bespoke & evolving software package, therefore they are looking for candidates who have 2nd Line Support Experience and a quick learner to build their knowledge of the software package.
Position overview
1. You will be responsible for dealing with client’s questions and technical issues both via telephone and email.
2. You will be hands-on and experienced with Software Application Support and will have the ability to pick up new systems quickly as their
3. software is constantly being updated and developed.
4. Liaising with clients / customers over the phone
5. Ensure our clients systems runs smoothly and all issues are resolved as soon as possible.
6. Receiving, logging and resolving IT issues
7. To ensure that all software systems, procedures and processes are effectively documented to agreed standards
8. Liaise with external suppliers of software / hardware systems and other specialist teams
9. Undertake system administration tasks
Position requirements
10. Experience in a similar role or as a 2nd Line support Technician
11. Full UK Driving License
12. Experience working in Software
13. SQL Experience would be an advantage
14. Have a passion for learning new skills and enjoy working within a team
15. Friendly but professional in your approach
16. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Position Remuneration
17. Monday to Friday 9am – 17:30pm.
18. Salary £22,000 – 28,000 DOE
19. 25 days holiday including bank holidays
