First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Operations Director on behalf of one of our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead and inspire our operations team to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of REDs core project in all areas.
* Efficiently manage manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project deadlines and financial objectives.
* Streamline workflows and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer service.
* Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control to ensure customer satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.
* Enforce rigorous health and safety protocols to create a safe work environment for our team and clients. Instal a Safety-first culture in all our staff in all areas.
* Collaborate with the management team to monitor budgets, control costs, and drive profitability. Regular review of P&L management.
* Assist the Procurement manager where necessary to Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure favourable terms and enhance project outcomes.
* Identify training needs and provide guidance to our team to enhance their skills and knowledge. Ensuring database records are kept in date.
* Work closely with the directors to develop and execute business strategies that support long-term growth and expansion.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of motivating and leading diverse teams, with a recognised qualification in management leadership.
* Health & Safety qualifications and management of safety experience, i.e. diploma, NEBOSH etc
* Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* Experience of managing profit and loss in an Engineering or safety centric environment.
* Sound financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively.
* Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and operational excellence.
* Ambition to take on a greater leadership role and become a shareholder and director in the company.
* Honest, open, driven and committed.
* High level of energy and drive
* Resilient – is not afraid of a challenge.
* To have good judgement and able to build collaborative relationships quickly and effectively.
* Team player with willingness to help others and go above and beyond their formal role.
