1 x 0.40 hours (15 hours over 2 days – Monday & Tuesday – 7.5 hours per day)
To provide administrative support to health professionals within the department and to provide a customer focused service to patients and their families, ensuring that services are delivered smoothly and effectively.
The successful candidate will need to provide relief cover at other locations as requested by team leader.
* To provide administrative support to health professionals within the department and to provide a customer focused service to the users of the clinics, ensuring that services are delivered smoothly and effectively.
* To act as first point of contact for all client enquiries, responding to telephone and face to face enquiries in an efficient, tactful and professional manner, redirecting calls, taking action as appropriate.
* To administer clerical work, including arranging appointments and clinic organisation.
* To ensure stocks of office supplies and medical equipment via use of the Purchase Ordering system.
* To support the work of panels with respect to all administrative requirements, including copy typing/audio typing medical reports and general correspondence as required.
* To provide relief cover at other locations as requested by team leader.

Our inpatient unit at Newton Community Hospital is where patients needing acute hospital beds can continue rehabilitation, freeing up space for more unwell patients. We also provide urgent care at our Urgent Treatment Centre located in St Helens town centre.
Specialist Regional Services
We provide the Mersey Regional Burns & Plastic Surgery Unit at Whiston Hospital and the Spinal Injuries Unit at Southport Hospital to more than 4 million people across the whole of Merseyside, West Lancashire, Cheshire, Isle of Man and North Wales.
