In Torbay we are developing a range of evidence-based recovery focused interventions to support individuals with drug and alcohol use problems.
We require an individual who is committed to providing high standards of service provision and who is able to work in partnership with service users, families and carers and the wider recovery community in Torbay.
We are happy to accept Band 5 nurses who would like to develop their skills and knowledge to gain a Band 6.
Main duties of the job
* Undertake initial assessment of individuals referred into the service.
* Provide a range of evidence-based interventions to individuals assessed as appropriate for treatment from the service.
* Contribute to the coordination of recovery focused interventions to individuals.
* Work closely with partner agencies including statutory and non-statutory services to ensure effective delivery and coordination of services.
* Monitoring of prescribing interventions which form a component of the individuals recovery journey.
* Undertake specific interventions to support individuals to address alcohol use problems.

Person Specification
Essential
* Professional Nurse Registration.
* To be trained/willingness to be trained to level 3 child protection/safeguarding children/adults.
Desirable
* Experience of working within the community.
* Recognised qualification in substance misuse or a willingness to work toward same.
