What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a learning support assistant who is caring, enthusiastic and ideally experienced from March 2025. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 1.00 pm to 3.20 pm.
The successful candidates will work in close partnership with the class teachers to support the children to achieve in lessons and have a happy time at school.
The successful applicant will:
• have patience and strong communication skills
• be enthusiastic, self-motivated, creative and able to use their initiative;
• be committed to working as part of a team that has a ‘can do’ attitude;
• be positive, calm and caring and able to sensitively support children;
• have the ability to implement a daily structured routine with assistance from the class teachers and SENCo
• have the ability to follow a set of planned interventions to help develop independence/sensory needs/language and social skills
• be able to demonstrate an ability to nurture children in accordance with their individual emotional, social and leaning needs
• have a good understand of confidentiality and safeguarding;
• be supportive of our Catholic ethos
