Role Overview Telford/Chester Rural Management Team. This is an opportunity to join a young, friendly and energetic team with a diverse workload spanning rural professional practice, and with a core of retained estate management work and associated strategic consultancy. The immediate team consists of one director, three associate directors, two associates and one rural surveyor, three apprentices and one graduate. The work of the team is also ably supported by three estate administrators. The role would be based out of Telford, but it is expected that the individual would work in an agile manner across the region and form a key part of the regional Estate Management team.The Telford Rural Management Team has an actively collaborative approach, and operates as part of the larger multi-disciplinary Savills Telford office, alongside teams delivering a range of services including building surveying, valuation consultancy, forestry, farm agency and food and farming. The team also works closely with other Savills specialists in the region in areas such as minerals surveying and development consultancy. The local team is supported by the almost-limitless knowledge, resources and research within the national and international Savills network, and as an integral member of the team you will be expected to liaise with your counterparts across the country and to contribute to business development throughout Savills both within and beyond the rural division. Key Responsibilities Serve the existing client base, and contribute to the growth of the business and its profile in the region Day to day running of rural estates and property Assist in the strategic advice to clients Provision of advice for landlord and tenant, rent reviews and property management Building rapport with colleagues, clients, tenants, contractors and suppliers Identifying opportunities to grow and expand the business Key Skills Must be either MRICS and/or FAAV qualified The ability to engage with a variety of audiences Good relationship and management and communication skills The ability to deal with conflict and provide resolution Self-motivated, goal driven and the ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines Commercially aware, but with ability to vary approach dependent on circumstances Team Overview The successful candidate will be joining the Telford Estate Management Team.
