Our clients are looking for a technician to join the software engineering section of their small friendly team to support their software developers and services teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide first line support to Customers and Colleagues.
2. Review system information including (but not limited to): system notes, bundle audit trail, system email/logs, history, audit logs, to identify technical root cause analysis (RCA) of problems.
3. Write detailed RCA reports for use by the development team in the identification and repair of software issues.
4. Work with Quality Assurance team on the software validation process, to ensure software is presentable, user friendly and functional against agreed business requirements.
5. Assist with the creation of NetSuite components including (but not limited to): workflows, saved searches, XML/PDF templates, reports, roles, mass updates, CSV imports and SuiteBundles.
6. Work with Sales & Marketing Director to setup demo environments for our Software.
7. Contribute to the data import process, by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Microsoft Excel to build high quality, easy-to-use Data Import Spreadsheets.
8. Support the entire software development lifecycle including debugging, quality assurance and installation/deployment.
9. Support colleagues who are migrating data between software systems.
10. Support professional service and implementation teams with installations and configuration.
11. Support customer system integrations during development, roll-out and into the future.
Essential Skills
1. Competence with IT to use the essentials of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, e-mail, web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, IE, Edge, Brave, Safari). Training will be given in use of in-house systems.
2. Competence in communicating in the English language both orally and in writing.
3. Experience using NetSuite SuiteBuilder (Custom Records, Searches, Forms, Centres, tabs and dashboards).
4. Experience using NetSuite SuiteFlow (Workflows).
5. Experience using NetSuite Audit Trails/History (Including System Notes, Sent email list, login audit trail, script execution logs).
6. General Knowledge/awareness of SuiteBundler.
7. Sufficient experience of software programming, database use, data processing, an understanding of database architecture and use of website update tools.
8. At least 2 years' experience operating in a business environment.
9. Sufficient experience of working in a team environment.
10. Customer care skills, patience, and efficiency in dealing with business contacts, customers and colleagues, by telephone and in person, in a warm and friendly manner, particularly with international contacts whose first language may not be English.
Beneficial Experience
1. Experience using SuiteBundler or SuiteScript 1.0/2.0/2.1.
2. Experience working in a development environment with finance software.
3. Experience with the VBA programming language or using UML Use-Case.
4. Experience using version control such as Subversion.
5. Experience working in an agile and fast-paced environment.
6. Achieved a recognised RQF level 4 or equivalent IT competency qualification or achieved a recognised RQF level 3 or equivalent customer care competency qualification.
7. Experience of software testing.
8. A full UK driving licence.
