As Group & Events Sales Manager, you are accountable for the Groups and Events sales function within Hyatt Regency Manchester & Hyatt House Manchester. This is an office-based role and entails leading and managing all Group & M&E enquiries and taking them to signed contract stage, liaising with agents & clients for future business and nurturing repeat clients, all to contract stage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle the planning of event enquiries, including corporate, leisure, group and social bookings, quoting hotel rate information, planning all details in conjunction with the event, and liaising with third-party suppliers where required.
* Strategically look at potential business opportunities and proactively engage in securing new business.
* Send contracts to the client upon receiving confirmation of a booking, along with the company terms & conditions.
* Communicate effectively with the Event Planning team to ensure a seamless handover and experience for the customer.
* Conduct site inspections and meet with clients to discuss their requirements.
* Act in a professional and informative manner, ensuring product and competitor knowledge is current at all times.
* Provide guidance and leadership to the Group & Event Sales team regarding selling, account management, and training.
* Work with an entrepreneurial mindset, strategically looking at potential business opportunities.
* Regularly monitor and review all prospect, tentative, and lost business enquiries with the aim of driving increased conversion levels.
* Review and improve team performance through identifying training needs, mentoring, and coaching.
About You:
Ideally, you have already gained work experience in the same or similar role, preferably within a prestigious hotel environment, and can demonstrate successes.
