This school operates using the ‘Thrive’ approach, this approach supports both pupils and employee’s mental health and supports children with behavioural difficulties and low attendance within the school. Our client is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a reception child with Autism, this would be a long-term, full-time role starting immediately until the end of the academic year. As a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Supporting children with SEND in line with the National Curriculum. Assisting the class teacher in delivering lessons. Providing tailored support to individual pupils or small groups as a TA. Encouraging independence and helping children achieve their learning goals. Maintaining a safe and stimulating classroom environment. Collaborating with staff and parents to support children's progress. Required Skills and Experience: Proven experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant or TA in a UK school. Knowledge of the National Curriculum, particularly within Early Years (EYFS) and Reception. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
