A day in the life of…
As Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll respond to maintenance requests from various departments, ensuring that any issues are resolved quickly to minimise disruption. You’ll also coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, whether it's for the hotel's elevators, electrical systems, or plumbing. You will support the Maintenance Manager to ensure all teams are correctly trained in the use of equipment and health & safety standards within the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and lead the daily activities of the maintenance team.
* Perform routine inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address any potential issues.
* Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and building systems.
* Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues as needed.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure all maintenance needs are addressed promptly.
* Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
* Ensure all maintenance work is compliant with health and safety regulations.
* Report directly to the Maintenance Manager on the status of ongoing projects and repairs.
Skills and Requirements:
* Previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with supervisory experience preferred.
* Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
