They have a strong track record of success and are known for their collaborative work culture and commitment to excellence in all their projects.\n\nPosition Overview:\nCDM Recruitment is proud to partner with this leading construction company to help them find a talented Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor. In this role, you will manage and oversee all commercial aspects of multiple projects, from inception to completion.
You will play a key role in ensuring the financial success of projects and will work closely with the project teams to drive efficiency, manage risks, and ensure the highest standards are maintained.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * Take the lead in the preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.\n\n * Oversee and manage subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments.\n\n * Negotiate contract terms and conditions with clients and subcontractors.\n\n * Provide advice and guidance on all commercial and contractual matters.\n\n * Monitor project progress, identifying any potential issues and implementing solutions.\n\n * Conduct site visits to assess work completed and identify any discrepancies in progress.\n\n * Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.\n\n * Assist with the preparation of tender documentation and bids.\n\n * Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 5 years in the construction industry (preferably in the commercial build sector).\n\n * A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB).\n\n * Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.).\n\n * Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.\n\n * Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\n\n * A proactive and results-driven approach with strong problem-solving skills.\n\n * Full UK driving license (required for site visits).\n\nBenefits:\n\n * Competitive salary and benefits package.\n\n * Opportunity to work on a variety of exciting commercial build projects.\n\n * Career progression opportunities within a growing company.\n\n * Supportive and collaborative work environment.\n\nHow to Apply:\nIf you are a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor looking for an exciting new opportunity in the North East, please submit your CV today.
