Our client is a successful business that has seen rapid growth in the past 12 months. They are based in Christchurch and do require travel to their offices.
Job Description
As the Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for:
* Inputting invoices/credit notes onto the purchase ledger
* Scanning suppliers' invoices onto the system
* Reviewing documents processed by OCR and AI-powered technology
* Correct coding of invoices with the nominal code, company and VAT code
* Liaising with Estate Teams on any issues which may arise
* Resolving any queries with suppliers
* Reconciling suppliers' statements
* Maintaining a clean purchase ledger
* Responding to any suppliers' queries
* Processing payment runs
* Arranging ad-hoc BACS and faster payments
* Filing
* Assisting the Finance Manager as directed
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in the Purchase Ledger Clerk role, you must have:
* Experience in a similar role with exposure to commercial enterprises and financial software systems
* A sound and practical understanding of VAT rules
* An understanding of general software packages such as Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams
* Experience with Xero Accounting Software
