Assistant Accountant - Corporate Finance
Location: Swindon, Newport, or Billingham - flexible and hybrid working options
Salary: Band D - £32,751 - £42,465 DOE

The Corporate Finance team is responsible for providing internal support to ensure the company can function effectively. The Assistant Accountant will contribute to the sound financial management of the company and will be responsible for providing financial management services regarding the various projects that the company undertakes.
Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
* Support members of the Corporate Finance team in accounting for capitalised assets and the associated deferred income balances.
* Ensure that accounting and charging for assets and releasing deferred income is undertaken by the Corporate Finance team and completed on a timely basis.
* Provide responsive analysis to colleagues in non-finance roles regarding project finance.
* Provide finance support to project managers, project owners and partnership managers.
* Work with partnership managers to recover costs from clients where appropriate.
To do this role well you will need the following:
* Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) or have comparable proven work experience.
* Ability to prioritise a demanding workload, working independently without supervision.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Experience of supporting non-finance functions.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to influence.
* Experience of using Oracle or Workday would be highly advantageous.

Working pattern:
