Job Summary:
The Offshore Structures Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and integrity management of offshore structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires expertise in structural engineering principles, finite element analysis, and offshore construction methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and analyze offshore structures, including fixed platforms, floating structures, and subsea components.
Perform structural assessments and integrity evaluations of existing offshore installations.
Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) to assess structural performance under various environmental conditions.
Develop detailed engineering reports, specifications, and technical documentation.
Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards, such as API, DNV, ISO, and ABS.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including naval architects, geotechnical engineers, and project managers.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and maintenance phases.
Participate in offshore site visits and inspections as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Offshore Engineering.
Experience in offshore structural engineering.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SACS, STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, Abaqus).
Knowledge of offshore construction techniques, load-out, and installation procedures.
Familiarity with marine environmental conditions and their impact on structural integrity.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Offshore certification (e.g., BOSIET, HUET) is an advantage.
