We at Harrogate Integrated Facilities are inviting applications for the Bank Healthcare Porters role. Duties include patient movement, collection and delivery of specimens and instruments to ward and clinical areas, waste collection, and responding to requests for assistance during onsite security incidents.
Main Duties of the Job
As a HIF Healthcare Porter, you will ensure a high-quality, timely, responsive, and proactive portering service. You will ensure that service users, materials, and equipment are safely and appropriately transferred around the hospital.
This is a bank post to cover shifts 24 hours per day.

Harrogate Integrated Facilities (HIF) provides a Healthcare Portering Service to manage the movement of healthcare waste, patients, and healthcare-associated items within the Harrogate District Hospital (HDH) and Ripon Community Hospital (RCH) sites, as well as a courier vehicle service to designated locations, reception desk duties (HDH) shared with the General Office, additional specified duties as set out in the Scope of Service, and an evening Security Round (HDH).

Job Responsibilities
To provide patient movement, collection, and delivery of specimens and instruments to ward and clinical areas efficiently and with a positive and professional demeanor. Provide a full healthcare waste collection and disposal service ensuring the highest standards of segregation as instructed and in accordance with policy. Respond to requests to support/provide assistance for onsite security incidents.
