Job Description
As an inclusive arts and cultural charity located in Leicester, we are dedicated to connecting cultures through extraordinary art. We do this by commissioning bold, ambitious art and festivals that bring people together. Now is an exciting time to join the team with our next festival set to be delivered in July and a range of strategic projects led by our consultancy team ready to launch.
The Marketing and Communications Manager oversees all marketing and communications activities for Art Reach, with a particular focus on press, media relations and print production, ensuring audience engagement across all festivals and programmes. This role manages marketing campaigns, audience development initiatives, and oversees the work of the Communications and Content Coordinator during festival delivery.
Working hours: 22.5 hours a week
Job Requirements
Knowledge & Experience
1. Demonstrable experience in marketing, communications, audience development, and PR.
2. Strong knowledge of website and social media management.
3. Strong knowledge of press and media relations, with a track record of securing coverage.
4. Understanding of developing and delivering marketing and communication strategies for events and festivals.
5. Experience in print production processes and working with external designers/agencies.
6. Experience of writing and designing newsletters and project marketing materials such as posters / flyers etc.
7. Experience in managing freelance contractors and external marketing services.
8. Familiarity with partnership marketing and working with stakeholders.
9. Understanding of accessibility considerations in marketing and communications.
Job Responsibilities
Marketing & Audience Development
1. Develop and deliver individual marcomms strategies for each festival and programme to achieve audience targets.
2. Plan and manage marketing campaigns that drive engagement and expand audiences.
3. Oversee print production and distribution, including brochures, posters, and other physical marketing assets.
4. Where appropriate design in-house marketing assets, including social media graphics, posters, and flyers.
5. Support the production of physical marketing materials, such as event signage.
6. Ensure all marketing assets are aligned with Art Reach's brand guidelines.
7. Ensure marketing aligns with audience growth objectives and strategic partnerships.
8. Actively cover events in real time, providing live social media updates and audience engagement content.
9. Develop interactive digital campaigns that encourage audience participation.
