Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
A normal day would include: -
• Exposure to high end engineering work and experience working with our team of highly skilled engineers on the workshop and in our office
• Access to a full range of high-end CNC and conventional machines in our 18,000 sq.ft workshop
• Working with our dedicated Apprentice Trainer through our own foundation training syllabus for fitting, turning and milling
• Upon successful completion of your foundation training, opportunities to work with the Foreman on high-end projects to gain further real-world engineering experience

The majority of our senior roles are occupied by employees who have progressed through our Apprentice training scheme over the last 25 years. Pay progression and career development go hand-in-hand – as you develop, your earnings grow too!
Dedicated and hard-working apprentices, have the opportunity to become highly skilled, time-served precision engineers and progress the career ladder with exciting, interesting and rewarding positions within the Company – for example:
• Key roles in CNC programming/setting/machining

• Quality control and inspection

Full training and support will be provided by The Growth Company in addition to the training received on site, to help you achieve your apprenticeship and reach your full potential in your role.
