You’ll be working in a full-time, temporary role producing high-quality products, ensuring reliability and efficiency in all operations.
You will be a highly skilled and experienced time served instrument technician with high competency in instrument work. With a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement and safety you will maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation systems essential to manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
Performing maintenance and calibration of instrumentation and control systems for optimal performance and compliance
Identifying and troubleshooting instrumentation faults to minimise downtime
Assisting in installing, commissioning, and validating new instrumentation equipment
Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with policies
Maintaining records of maintenance, calibration, and repairs; preparing detailed reports
Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting system enhancements
Collaborating with engineering, production, and maintenance teams for seamless operation
Qualifications and experience:
A relevant technical qualification (for example HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3) in instrumentation, control, or a related field
Proven experience as a time served instrument technician within a chemical manufacturing or similar industrial environment
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Proficient in the use of instrumentation and calibration tools
Knowledge of process control systems and automation
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
