Expert witness

Expert Witness - HCPC Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist

As an expert witness, you will be responsible for conducting face-to-face, evidenced-based assessments for clients involved in personal injury, crime, and immigration cases.

* Conduct 1-hour assessments for Personal Injury victims, including mental and functional health assessments to determine the impact of work-related or clinical negligence claims on the client's mental adjustments.
* Assess fitness to stand trial, tribunal, and likelihood of reoffending in Crime related cases.
* Determine mental capacity and level of vulnerability for Immigration cases involving deportation.
* Conditions covered include PTSD, trauma, flashbacks, anxiety, and depression.


Preparatory Time:

A Patient Health Questionnaire and Generalized Anxiety Disorder are completed and available prior to assessment. You will also review medical records up to 250 pages within the assessment cost.


Qualifications and Skills:

* Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience as a registered Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist.
* Strong understanding of psychological assessment tools.


Essential Documentation:

* Right to work in the UK.
* Full DBS certification.
* ICO certified under GDPR legalities.
* Indemnity Insurance with a minimum cover of £5 million (medico-legal).

Forensic Psychologists are currently not accepted due to registration requirements.
