Teacher Active is proud to be working with SEND schools in Swindon, supporting with their recruitment for a SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA. We are looking for a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA who can make a positive impact in the lives of individuals with Autism/ASD, ADHD and SLD/Severe Learning Difficulties.
We are seeking a skilled and driven individual to take on this long-term role, although there is potential for this to become a permanent placement for the right SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA. The successful candidate will bring a fresh perspective and skill set to this role, be eager to develop their own skills to adapt to the pupils’ individual needs and have a positive impact on the whole school. Every day is different and filled with new opportunities to learn and grow.
The position will involve working with students across all Key Stages with diagnosis of Autism / ASD, ADHD, SLD / Severe Learning Difficulties, and challenging behaviours. A proactive thinker with great organisation and the ability to take control of situations confidently is necessary.
The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant / SEND LSA will have:
Experience working with children with additional needs / disabilities
Experience working with students with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and challenging behaviours
Level 2 or 3 CACHE or equivalent
Team-Teach or MAPA qualifications desirable
