Fabrication Manager Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the fabrication department. Plan, organize, and schedule production tasks to meet project deadlines and customer requirements. Oversee the fabrication process from start to finish, ensuring quality standards are met.
Monitor and optimize workflow, implementing process improvements where necessary. Manage a team of skilled fabricators, providing leadership and guidance to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to enhance the skills of the team. Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and procurement, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of projects.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Monitor and control fabrication costs, utilizing resources efficiently to meet budget targets.
Identify and implement measures to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance overall productivity.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Fabrication Manager or similar role in the manufacturing industry.
2. In-depth knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and materials.
3. Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
4. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
6. Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting specifications.
7. Familiarity with quality control principles and ISO standards.
8. Proven track record of meeting production targets and delivering high-quality results.
