An exciting role for an experienced pharmacy technician with a passion for patient care and staff well-being. This leadership role will be responsible for the operational management of the pharmacy supply service and for the medicines optimisation pharmacy technicians and support staff. The post-holder will be a key member of the pharmacy senior leadership team, reporting directly into the chief pharmacist. They will be supported by a team of leads in dispensary, distribution and medicines optimisation services.
To manage and lead independently on the operational delivery and development of a proactive, high-quality Pharmacy supply and medicines optimisation service, including outsourced outpatient activities. To be responsible for ensuring pharmaceutical resources (staff, time, and medicines) are used effectively and that medicines are stored and supplied in a safe, rational and timely manner in accordance with the legislation and best practice.
To form part of the Senior Leadership team within Pharmacy, contributing to the strategic development of services and to deputise for the Chief Pharmacist as part of the senior management team as required in their absence.
The Royal Cornwall hospital pharmacy department is a forward thinking. friendly and inclusive team with full deployment of electronic prescribing and administration in the inpatient and outpatient setting and fully automated dispensing.
We have a number of exciting major projects and new investments into the Trust over the coming years, including a new Women's & Children's hospital and the implementation of a new integrated electronic health record.
