I'm working with an NHS organisation who require an Interim Director of Nursing for 6 months. The organisation covers a whole range of community and Mental Services, as well as Primary Care and are seeking an experienced Deputy Director or Director of Nursing to be their Interim Director of Nursing until a substantive appointment can be made. You will need to be able to travel on site in the North of England for this role. The Director of Nursing and Quality Assurance has responsibility for the professional leadership of the Nursing workforce, ensuring care is delivered with compassion, embodies quality and fulfils the vision and values, with the best health and wellbeing outcomes. You will contribute to the visible leadership of the organisation, ensuring a strong community focus and a commitment to integrated care instilling a desire across the organisation to improve the lives of our patients and make a positive impact on local communities. You will be one of the organisation's most senior ambassadors for our integrated business plan. Key duties include: Provide strong, visible leadership across the Nursing & Quality Directorate and support the Chief Executive and Board in managing the Company and the associated development and delivery of the organisational strategy and the Integrated Business Plan Promote and explain the mission, vision and values of the organisation, internally and to external partners and stakeholders to further the organisation's aim to be expert provider, partner of choice for the provision of innovative healthcare solutions in health and social care Promote and implement workforce plans in conjunction with the Director of HR and OD which include continuing staff development, training and succession plans to meet nursing and strategic business goals. Represent the organisation at regional and national levels in conjunction with other members of the Board/Executive Team to enhance the reputation of the organisation and ensure the organisation's strategies and priorities are consistent with the wider healthcare and social value agenda. Efficiently and effectively manage resources, including delegated budgets in accordance with financial regulations and the Integrated Business Plan. Ensure that all statutory and regulatory obligations as a company director and regulated provider of health and social care are met.
