Aramark UK is looking for a Pensions Specialist to work alongside the existing Pensions and Benefits Manager with hands-on experience in the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) in relation to obtaining Admitted Body Status. This is mostly a remote position (UK-based) with the expectation of coming to the Leeds office twice / month. You will be ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing expert guidance to employees and stakeholders. A key focus will be on the LGPS admissions process, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering efficient and effective pension services. Join us on our exciting growth journey What’s in it for you: A competitive salary Pension scheme Life assurance Generous annual leave that increases in line with service, with the opportunity to buy extra Access to an employee benefit scheme that offers discounts across hundreds of retail and leisure providers Employee assistance programme, available for free 24/7 Access to a network of trained mental health champions A day in the life of a Pensions Specialist: Working alongside the existing Pensions & Benefits manager on the day-to-day administration of pension schemes with a primary focus on the admissions process for LGPS Manage the LGPS admissions agreement and obtaining Admitted Body Status for LGPS schemes Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory and scheme-specific requirements Assist with providing expert advice and support to employees, stakeholders and senior leadership on pension matters Assist with complex pension queries around admitted body status efficiently Collaborate with the Pensions and Benefits manager, HR, payroll and external providers to maintain accurate data and seamless processes Assist when required with pension scheme audits and reporting requirements alongside the Pensions and Benefits Manager Keep up to date with changes in pensions legislation and communicate impacts to the organisation You’ll be set up for success if you have: Extensive experience managing pensions, including a strong understanding of LGPS Good working knowledge of Admitted Body Status Comprehensive knowledge of pensions legislation, governance and best practices Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex pension queries Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing processes and ensuring compliance If you are applying for this role and you already work for Aramark, you must notify your line manager before submitting your application.
