Resident Engineer - Building Services
* Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
* Rate: £400 - £450 per day, outside IR35
* Start date: September 2024 - 8 months contract.

Our client is an international engineering & construction organisation who have strong pipelines in the major renewable energy and power generation sectors, across the UK.
We are looking for a Resident Engineer - Building Services who will be responsible for the monitoring and coordination of site teams regarding the design, specification and installation of building services and equipment for a major energy construction project.
Services will include HVAC, security systems, fire systems, lighting, electrical distribution boards, water systems etc.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with the design team on the co-ordination of services within the overall building design.
* Oversee and supervise the work of the subcontractors on site, ensuring all quality and performance standards are met.
* Perform the role of Clerk of Works and Resident Engineer on a large renewable energy construction project.
* Support the Site Manager and installation team with technical advice on building services installation and provide a snagging list when required.
* Ensure that relevant work documentation (RAMS, ITP's etc) are in place and approved prior to works commencing, and ensure that they are implemented throughout the project.
* Ensure all site works meet HSE standards.
* Manage TQ's with subcontractors and ensure responses are provided within the contractual period of reply.
Requirements:
* 5+ years' experience in UK building service installation and commissioning specifically in security systems, fire systems, lighting, LV electrical distribution boards, hot/cold water systems, HVAC etc.
* Qualification: NVQ in Building Services or HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* CSCS card.
