Join our team as an Area Engineering Manager, leading a dynamic engineering team to deliver innovative solutions on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Solution Development & Delivery: Implement the Engineering Elements of the Project Execution Plan, considering full lifecycle requirements.
* Risk Management: Identify and mitigate design, technical, and safety risks, collaborating across disciplines.
* Hazard Management: Develop and enforce a proportionate hazard management strategy.
* Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and quality regulations, fulfilling Principal Designer Responsibilities under CDM Regulations.
* Requirements Management: Define, manage, and report technical scope, overseeing product development.
My Profile
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
* Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in engineering delivery and leadership.
* Regulated Systems Experience: Recent experience in regulated, quality-assured systems (preferably nuclear).
* Educational Qualifications: Higher Education Qualification in Engineering (HNC minimum, MEng preferred).
* Professional Membership: Membership in an appropriate Engineering or Scientific Institution (Incorporated Engineer minimum, Chartered Engineer preferred).
Desirable Experience & Qualifications:
* Industry Regulations Knowledge: Familiarity with nuclear industry regulations (or equivalent).
* Technological Readiness: Experience in Technological Readiness Levels and technology development plans.
* Requirements Management: Knowledge of Requirements Management/System Engineering.
Security Clearance:
Applicants must meet UK residency criteria for security clearance.
