What you will do:
As a member of the UK sales organization, you will support the UK Laboratory robotics business by engaging with customers at contract review time for the laboratory consumables and lab equipment service contract renewals and any upselling opportunities. This role is a permanent, full-time office-based role starting asap.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Sales Specialist selling to and engaging with customers remotely (‘Sales Rep without a car’)
2. Actively sell our clients laboratory consumable and liquid handling products such as pipette tips by using telephone/videocalls and appropriate digital channels
3. Actively sell liquid handling and laboratory automation service contracts and instrument upgrades
4. Have an active role in sales campaigns, contacting and engaging with customers.
5. Achieve sales targets by territory planning and opportunity management.
6. Part of the UK sales organization
7. Implement the company’s activities around Digital Customer Engagement in the territory.
8. Continuously increase personal efficiency and productivity
What you bring along:
1. Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent
2. 2 years minimum sales experience either field based or internal sales life sciences or laboratory consumables sales such as laboratory plastics, petri dishes, tissue/cell culture plastics, pipette tips, reagents, PCR tubing or similar etc would be advantageous.
3. Commercially driven and ambitious, a self starter
4. Proven Track record in scientific consumables or laboratory instrument or laboratory equipment service contract sales
5. Ability to understand the needs of clients’ lab workflows, staff and co-workers.
6. Self-motivated with a positive attitude and outcome-oriented
7. Ability to communicate effectively and to engage with customers using the telephone and digital channels.
8. Strong organizational skills
9. Team player
10. Fluent in English - excellent written and oral skills are required.
11. Have previously worked with CRM/databases such as Salesforce or equivalent
