Senior Systems Engineer (Infrastructure) – The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer with a keen interest in building technical networking solutions to help us deliver outstanding service to our customers. You will consult directly with internal and external stakeholders to scope technical solutions, design, plan and document technical solutions, plan and document technical work packages, implement technical solutions, and assist in the transitions of solutions into live service, among other responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Work to deadlines
2. At least 5 years’ experience in a technical role
3. Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
4. Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
5. Takes ownership and responsibility
6. Excellent knowledge with experience of designing, supporting and implementing a wide range of modern networking technologies essential including; routing, switching, firewalls, wireless networking, load-balancing and mobile access (VPN) appliances, power management, Telephony and Voice Services incl. VoIP.
7. Cyber-security skills including the application of technical controls combined with a knowledge of defensive and monitoring techniques essential.
8. Experience working with Microsoft technologies, including Azure and M365 is desirable but not essential.
9. Recognised current Networking qualification/exam pass combined with evidence of continued professional development.
10. Experience working within a busy office environment
11. A positive attitude combined with excellent interpersonal skills
12. The ability to manage conflicting deadlines and priorities
13. Close focus on attention to detail
14. Able to work accurately following a procedure
