The Key Responsibilities of the post are: to participate in the routine phlebotomy service, working alone as required and prioritising work accordingly; to be aware of, and comply with, all Trust infection prevention and control policies, to include hand hygiene, personal hygiene, environmental and food hygiene. Undertake training for prevention and control of infection; to manage a large throughput of patients, treating each as an individual and ensuring that the correct number and type of blood containers are used; and, to behave professionally at all times.
