Through growth and success, they are looking to recruit a CNC Machinist (Either Milling or Turning) on a permanent basis. Position Overview:
We are looking for a CNC Miller or Turner who is proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC Mills (3 and 4 axis) or CNC Lathes (Hurco). The ideal candidate will have experience working with Hurco controls. They will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring high-quality production of Jigs and Fixtures and meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Program, set up, and operate CNC mills to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
* Versed within the manufacture of Jigs and Fixtures or tooling - working in a bespoke manufacturing environment.
* Select and install cutting tools, adjust tool offsets, and make necessary machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
* Interpret and modify CNC programs as needed to optimize machining processes and minimize cycle times.
* Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth operations and prevent downtime.
* Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
* Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
* CNC Milling on 3-4 axis machinery - on modern Hurco machines with Winmax systems.
* We are willing to look at other operating systems to transition skills from as Winmax is very conversant.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a CNC Miller with proficiency in programming, setting, and operating mills.
* Proficiency with Hurco controls is required.
* CADCAM Experience desirable, but not required (Current software is Fusion 360).
* Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T symbols.
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
