My client is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 pupil with special educational needs. This role is available on a fixed-term contract working Monday to Friday with hours of 9-1. What You’ll Be Doing Providing 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil, ensuring their safety and engagement throughout the school day. Building a strong rapport with the child and supporting them in managing challenging behaviours. Designing and delivering creative, engaging activities aligned with the child’s needs and school topics. Collaborating with the KS2 team, SENDCO, and external professionals to follow best practices and adapt strategies. Modelling effective communication and desired behaviours in a safe and nurturing environment. Communicating with parents/carers and staff to ensure holistic support for the pupil. About You Be able to do the job as described. Experienced in working with children with social and communication needs or SEND. Calm, patient, and confident in handling challenging or avoidant behaviours. Reflective, enthusiastic, and eager to try innovative ideas to support learning.
