YOUR ROLE
In this dynamic role, you'll oversee the day-to-day functionality of our designated buildings, ensuring smooth operations within our specialist Group. As the lead, you'll be at the forefront of fostering a collaborative team environment where colleagues not only achieve their goals but also feel integral to our success. Your leadership will be pivotal in maintaining focus on meeting customer targets. Effective communication is the backbone of our business. In this role, you'll play a key part in delivering results to both our customers and internal stakeholders, making your contribution vital to our overall success.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing stock integrity, productivity and facilities within the Group and to address in a pro-active manner any issues as they arise.
Managing all costs effectively within the group and advising when required potential cost variances or additional costs required to support service delivery against the agreed budget
Monitoring operational and general business SOR's/ KPI's, ensuring that they are met and improved upon through the effective management of the operation/ operational resources in the group.
Ensuring efficient and effective planning processes are in place that are primarily pro-active and communication of operational requirements and changes are prompt and clear and aligned to strategic direction
Creating and maintaining an environment that encourages employee participation and effective team working and ensuring employees are involved in the success of the operation through continual feedback and positive communication
Managing direct reports yearly Personal Performance Review (PPR), succession planning and overall personal development
Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements.
Comply with all instructed Safe Working Practices including the reporting of all accidents and incidents within the workplace
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
Logistics management experience in a large fast moving environment along with warehouse system experience
Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate
Financial and strategic management experience and commercial awareness
Drive, determination and a track record in delivering continuous improvement
Ability to influence, negotiate and deal with conflict successfully
A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work
Preferred experience (not essential) of JDA/ Red Prairie systems
Intermediate PC Skills: Excel, Word, Outlook
