Job Description
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced Direct Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strong supplier relationships. This role is key to maintaining a smooth supply chain, working closely with Project Delivery to ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of critical components.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Leading and developing a team of procurement professionals, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
• Creating and driving strategic procurement plans to improve efficiency and cost savings.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, identifying opportunities for innovation and better value.
• Balancing cost, quality, and delivery targets to keep operations running smoothly.
• Monitoring supplier performance through clear KPIs, ensuring they meet expectations.
• Overseeing the procurement of raw materials, proprietary, and manufactured components.
• Coordinating internally manufactured parts with external supply needs.
• Working closely with internal teams and Project Delivery to align procurement with production schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
• Bringing strong knowledge of ERP systems, particularly IFS, with the ability to leverage them for procurement efficiency and business advantage.
• Actively contributing to meetings with insights and strategic direction.
Requirements
* Solid experience in direct procurement within motorsport or high-level manufacturing.
* Strong knowledge of composite, metallic, and proprietary materials.
* An understanding of engineering drawings, manufacturing processes, and supplier requirements.
* Proven leadership experience in a procurement role, ideally within Formula 1 or high-performance motorsport.
* Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong negotiation skills to secure the best terms while maintaining supplier relationships.
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proactive and solutions-driven approach.
* Experience working alongside Project Delivery teams to align procurement with operational needs.
* Willingness to travel when required.
