HMP Northumberland have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Plumber to join our FM team. You will use appropriate trade skills to provide installation, testing, examination and maintenance works within the prison.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Carry out inspection, maintenance, examination, and testing to onsite systems.
2. Read and understand technical diagrams and instructions.
3. Perform general maintenance activities in line with your skill set and support other colleagues where required.
4. Inspect and make improvements to the resident decency standards.
5. Troubleshoot and look to resolve technical issues using appropriate testing devices.
6. Repair and replace building services equipment or fixtures (both mechanical and some basic electrical).
7. Perform a range of mechanical and plumbing repairs.
8. Ensure Health and Safety policies are always adhered to.
9. Undertake duties, as required that contribute to the effective and safe operation of the prison.
10. Participate in out of hours call out procedures on an On Call rota system and take appropriate action.
11. Work in accordance with Sodexo's policies and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
1. High level of inter-personal skills

3. Proactive, systematic approach to tasks.
4. Ability to work to correct time schedules and deadlines.
5. Must have served a recognised apprenticeship and obtained relevant trade qualification.
6. Ability to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard and with limited or no supervision.
7. Be professional, motivated, and enthusiastic to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Salary: £35,278.92 per annum.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
