About The Role
We're currently searching for a Financial Controller to join our Finance team, comprised of 12 dedicated individuals. This role holds immense significance for our business, as you'll be the go-to person for our CFO, overseeing all financial operations, leading financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You’ll be responsible for driving process improvements, providing strategic insights, and collaborating with the CFO on strategic initiatives. Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop the finance team by fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while actively participating in daily operations and leading by example to drive the achievement of company objectives.
2. Oversee all financial operations, including financial forecasting, budgets and reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance.
3. Drive financial planning and analysis, providing strategic insights and decision support to the Executive Team.
4. Improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, reporting capabilities, and internal controls.
5. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and audit requirements, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
6. Partner with the CFO to navigate the organisation through upcoming strategic changes and growth initiatives.
You Will Ideally Need The Following
1. Fully qualified (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with a minimum of 6 years in a senior finance role.
2. Proven experience in a senior finance role, with a track record of successfully leading teams and driving results.
3. Thorough understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
4. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
5. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organisation.
