Bank/casual hours: As and when required for exam periods
Salary: SP05 £24,790 FTE £12.88 per hour (plus £1.93 for holiday entitlement pay)
Invigilators play a critical part in ensuring that both internal and external examinations run smoothly. We are looking for people with strong character to assist with the preparation and delivery of our examinations.
Job Summary
Invigilators play a critical part in ensuring that both internal and external examinations run smoothly. We are looking for people with strong character to assist with the preparation and delivery of our examinations.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise students during examinations to ensure compliance with established rules and regulations.
2. Distribute and collect examination materials, ensuring that all necessary items are accounted for.
3. Educate students on examination procedures, including the use of materials and time management during tests.
4. Monitor the testing environment for any irregularities or violations of examination protocols.
5. Address any student queries or concerns in a professional manner during the examination period.
6. Report any incidents or issues to the appropriate authorities promptly.
7. Help prepare the examination room.
8. Ensure JCQ regulations are observed.
9. Comply with any reasonable request made by the Examinations Officer.
Requirements
1. Ability to communicate effectively.

4. Ability to be fair but firm at all times.
5. Understanding of issues of confidentiality.

Flexibility of hours is essential, with most exams commencing at 9:00 or 13:00 from May to July and internal testing in November, December and February.
