We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HCPC registered psychologist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team (MDT) within an inpatient acute mental health setting.

Main duties of the job:
* Psychological Assessments & Interventions: Conduct psychological assessments and deliver evidence-based treatments to individuals within an acute inpatient setting, focusing on improving their mental health and well-being.
* Collaboration with MDT: Work closely with the MDT to deliver holistic, person-centred care, integrating psychological and systemic principles to support recovery.
* Systemic Approach: Apply systemic knowledge to effectively engage with individuals, families, and teams.
* Therapeutic Activities: Contribute to ward-based therapeutic activities and support the implementation of compassionate care practices.
* Supervision & Development: Participate in regular supervision and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
* Reflective Practice: Provide reflective practice, supervision and professional development opportunities to the team.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential:
* Has, or is soon to complete Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology, as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS); or Doctoral level training in Counselling Psychology; or Doctorate in Forensic Psychology / BPS doctoral-level Qualification in Forensic Psychology (Stage 2); AND meets the clinical competencies required by the post and the Essential Criteria of this Person Specification.
* HCPC registered as a Practitioner Psychologist or expected to be so prior to commencing in post (for candidates still to complete training).
Experience Essential:
* Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings.
* Ability to teach and train others, using a variety of complex multi-media materials suitable for presentations within public, professional and academic settings.
