Principal Systems Engineer Location: The Principal Systems Engineer for High Density & Liquid Cooling provides subject matter expertise and technical knowledge for the Liquid Cooling product portfolio. They understand the market, competitive landscape, and deep technical details of the product and the systems they will be deployed in. They are closely aligned with global technology partner organizations and can synch offerings across multiple geographies. They work closely with Global Strategic Account Directors on engagement with Global Strategic Accounts, they have active input to roadmap and support of voice of customer throughout the product development process. What kind of work will you be doing? Work with Technologist to prepare and execute a systems engineering approach for High Density & liquid cooling offerings. Ideate with leading technology organizations on systems solutions within server and High-Density cooling system and collaborate with offering leaders on capturing system requirements Engage in regular cadence reviews with leading technology companies for technical input on High Density and liquid cooling systems Work with the Technologist and Offering teams to align product direction with the full offering Portfolio/Product roadmap. Support for liquid cooling marketing in developing case studies for new product and capabilities needed to support the liquid cooling business. Provide “train the trainer” support for Academy team and deliver training where required to improve the chip to heat rejection knowledge quotient Input into product collateral with support from cross functional teams and support new product launches and sustaining product evolutions to include presentations, product demos, competitive comparisons, product documentation, and other sales enablement tools. Act as a technical escalation point for complex customer opportunities that need a systems approach Attend tradeshows, visit customers, meet with partners to evangelize Vertiv leadership position What will make you successful? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business or related field; MBA preferred. At least 4 years' experience in customer facing roles for large global accounts Strong Technical knowledge of data center cooling products and applications Working knowledge of New Product Development Process Experience working with customers and field sales teams Technical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutions. Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs. Exceptional research and analytical skills. Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas.
