Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of service charge accounting for a designated portfolio.
2. Support the preparation of service charge budgets, analyse monthly and year-end expenditure, and ensure costs are in line with RICS guidance.
3. Produce, reconcile, and close year-end service charges, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
4. Liaise with external auditors, internal teams, and property management colleagues to provide necessary information.
5. Handle utility recharge journal postings and direct recoverable reconciliations.
6. Ensure compliance with internal policies, RICS standards, and statutory timelines.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. Experience in a similar service charge accounting role.
2. Excellent understanding of service charge reconciliation, budgeting, and RICS guidelines.
3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage at various levels, including with clients, auditors, and colleagues.
4. Proactive, able to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances.
5. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
