About the Role:
We are seeking a committed and dynamic Primary Teacher to join one of our fantastic primary schools in Newton Aycliffe to work alongside a team on a long-term, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and forward-thinking school in the County Durham region. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons, ensuring that every child is challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Primary School Teacher, you will:
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
* Create a positive and nurturing classroom atmosphere to support student growth and development.
* Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and students to promote a supportive learning environment.
* Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and setting targets for improvement.
* Participate in school events and extracurricular activities to foster a well-rounded educational experience.
* Uphold high standards of behavior and create a safe and respectful classroom environment.
Qualifications, Experience and Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (for UK-based candidates).
* A Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or a related subject) or equivalent.
* Experience teaching in a primary school setting is preferred but not essential.
* A strong understanding of the National Curriculum (or relevant curriculum for your location).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Passion for working with children and fostering a love of learning.
* Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* DBS Clearance: Must have an enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
* References: Must be able to provide reference details to cover a minimum of 2 years, including at least 1 childcare reference.
Desirable:
* Additional qualifications or training in special educational needs (SEN).
* Experience with technology and digital learning tools.
To be considered for the role of Teacher, an enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service will be required and satisfactory references will be needed. Our compliance team will fully support you through this process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £130.00-£155.00 per day
