Utilities Project Manager
Location: Near Camberley GU24
Are you ready to take responsibility to coordinate major utilities work that will change the way we accommodate our military personnel embarking on their Army career? Come and utilise your utilities interface skills and build a better future for our military professionals.
Being the project conduit for the MEICA Utilities function, you will support and provide input for the utilities design review process. Do you have expert utilities knowledge that can support our design function with technical, survey and inspection information? Then you can be the interface between the MEICA utilities function on dialogue with DNO / IDNO organisation.
Are you able to coordinate utilities design with procurement process to ensure compliance and no scope gaps? Then this is the job for you!
Can you create connections and long-lasting relationships with utilities companies? We want you to bring your experience of linking central FM functions to utilities functions to support metering and application requirements.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
* Support the project by liaising with Statutory network operators and their appointed contractors.
* Review Utilities issued documentation as requested and advise the projects accordingly on safety, compliance, and technical matters.
* Liaise with MEICA Utility function / Authorising Engineers to ensure competencies are correct, who's is the Duty Holder for operating the private network and under which Safety Rules and Procedures to ensure compliance.
* Liaise with the Authorising Engineers on Utility connections and handover to the Project Authorised Person's at energisation / going "live" stage.
* Input into the MEICA function and project monthly reporting process and provide a progress report together with any visible key risks identified.
* Review as requested test and inspection documentation, as built record drawings and handover packs.
* Support the central FM function with transfer of metering assets at project completion stage to the Client.
Technical Capabilities
* Site based utilities management, construction or project management exposure.
* Technical ability on both installation and equipment for their respective discipline
* Civil construction methods and installations of utilities services
* Understanding of legislations and guidance for utility installations
Desirable
* Circa 5 years utilities exposure
* IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
* First aid training
