Supply Chain Director
£80k - £110k (DOE) + Car Allowance + Bonus + Pension + Health + Package
The Company
GMA are working in partnership with a market leading business in the design, manufacture and service of complex, industrial engineered capital equipment.
With a international footprint and a thriving customer base, they are looking to appoint a Supply Chain Director to implement and enhance the group’s procurement strategy in order to build a strong and effective supply chain across the globe.
The Role
As the Supply Chain Director, you will lead a highly skilled team where you will look to enhance and drive supply chain/procurement improvements at group level, across multiple sites globally, with a remit to increase head count as the business continues to grow.
Being based at their UK head office (West Yorkshire) you will
* Lead the Procurement Function, overseeing procurement activities across the globe.
* Develop and execute procurement strategies and projects, working with senior stakeholders to optimise procurement processes.
* Create short and long-term procurement strategies, including internal process improvements and external supplier agreements.
* Identify and manage supply chain risks and continuity planning.
* Analyse spend data and purchasing patterns to identify areas for cost savings and process optimisation.
* Source and procure parts, materials and services, fostering strong supplier relationships to secure the best value for money.
* Work closely with Finance, production, sales and the drawing office to align procurement activities with business needs and financial controls.
* Manage competitive tenders where required, ensuring optimal supplier agreements.
* Negotiate supplier agreements to achieve the best possible terms for the business.
* Assist in the implementation of a stock and inventory management system and use data insights to drive proactive procurement decisions.
* Develop and enforce procurement policies and procedures to improve overall efficiency.
* Track and report on procurement performance KPIs and ensure continuous improvements.
* Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders through structured reporting and regular updates.
* Align the warehouse(s) to deliver best in class service to deliver service and projects to plan and cost

The Candidate
Ideally you will be commutable to West Yorkshire with the following qualities
* Multi-site supply chain/procurement leadership and management experience.
* Must be from the industrial manufacturing or engineering sector.
* Strategic in approach with a successful track record of enhancing, evolving supply chain/procurement functions
* Looking for people with entrepreneurial spirit, that like to be creative whilst adopting innovative methods to achieve success.
* Preferably degree educated.
