If so, we are looking for a Shift Manager to join us, on a full time, permanent basis, to be based out of the Carlisle site managing our Crown contract. You will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern Pay, benefits and more: The salary on offer will be up to £38,000. Developing current staff members. Reducing business waste / product damages. Reporting into the Operations Manager. Ensuring KPIs are achieved through day-to-day completion of task. Managing a team of around 5 employees and all warehouse operations / transport operations. Day to day running of shift for receiving and dispatch of goods. Monitoring operational and site KPIs, ensuring they are achieved and improved upon. To ensure all meet with site Health & Safety requirements and all instructed safe working practices. Ensuring efficient planning, reviewing and communication of operational requirements and changes. Ensuring compliance of the operation to the Quality systems, industry standards and legal requirements. Responsible for incident control. Continually reviewing all aspects of the operation and driving improvements in methods, procedures, and efficiency. Ensure all activities align with current business goals, being fully aware of how your performance can impact the bottom line. People management including the delivery of performance review, development, and coaching What you need to succeed at XPO: A strong knowledge of Health & Safety at work. IT Skills (SAP preferred but not essential) Transport knowledge (preferred but not essential) Experience within an FMCG and unionised environment. Understanding of 3PL operations Leadership qualities including the ability to enthuse and motivate. Commercial awareness (preferred but not essential) Excellent organizational skills.
