Mission description
In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to have a good grasp of the operational sectors to which you contribute, as well as a high level of expertise in data, statistical analysis methods, and data visualization. You will use IT tools, techniques, and statistical methods to organize, synthesize, and translate data into meaningful, actionable information to facilitate decision-making, in accordance with operational requirements. Data Analysts support the Master Data Manager in delivering business insights that drive performance improvements and contribute to the data 4.0 roadmap at SGB. They work as part of a network of data analysts and specialists sharing best practices and collaborating on projects.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Understanding business processes and identifying data analytics needs.
2. Creating and maintaining data extracts, dashboards, and reports.
3. Building and monitoring KPIs.
4. Conducting statistical analysis and data visualization.
5. Supporting complex data exploration and analysis.
6. Organizing and translating information for decision-making.
7. Improving data quality and structure.
8. Presenting results clearly to stakeholders.
9. Maintaining process documentation and data catalogues.
Candidate skills:
* Minimum GCSE Grades A-C in Maths and English or equivalent.
* Degree in a numerate subject or relevant experience.
* Experience with SQL, Python, and R.
* Knowledge of Power BI or similar tools.
* Understanding of ERP systems and data support.
* Stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, flexible environment.
