The Role
You will join a dynamic and vibrant Leadership, Work and Organization (LWO) Subject Group that is committed to collegiality and academic citizenship. You will complement LWO’s existing expertise and enhance the thematic areas of interest of our Strategy, International Business and Society (SIBS) research community. We expect the successful candidate to undertake socially relevant and important research that forms a critical connection with your teaching and addresses current and future problems.
We are seeking a passionate researcher in international strategy and business who look for opportunities to collaborate across management fields and disciplines. Your passion will come across in your teaching and support for the student experience at all levels as well as in your commitment to engaging with communities beyond the University. Your contribution to teaching may include post-experience, postgraduate or undergraduate modules in international business and capstone projects depending on experience. The ability to contribute to teaching quantitative research skills for management and experience of teaching with simulations is a bonus.

Key Accountabilities
Teaching & Learning
1. To provide high quality teaching and learning and student support
2. Mentor and support students throughout their studies in the role of personal tutor
3. Set and mark assessment of modules in accordance with University standards and utilise on-line and digitised curricula and education frameworks
4. Contribute to curriculum development
5. Ensure all our students benefit from studying in a research intensive, research excellent academic environment
6. Provide education for life, that engages, challenges and supports our students to discover and fulfil their potential both while they are studying with us and once they have graduated
Research
7. Conduct research that demonstrates international standards of excellence in terms of originality, significance and rigour in the subject area of Strategy, International Business and Society (SIBS), that may include a focus on sustainability
8. Contribute to the research profile of the Business School by publishing high quality outputs
9. Pursue external funding
10. Demonstrate impact by developing research-based solutions to real-world problems and engage with external stakeholders to develop the impact of your work
11. Supervise PGR (postgraduate research) students in a research-led university

12. Contribute to the Business School Vision, Mission and Strategy
13. Operate as an active citizen in the Business School community
14. To have a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and ethics, responsibility and sustainability
15. To support the Business School’s global activities and development
16. Undertake a range of administrative tasks to support your area of teaching, and/or research, and/or engagement for example, recruitment or research team leadership
17. Take responsibility for a defined management or administrative role such as Module Leader, Year Tutor, Degree Programme Director, Research Director, Outreach Co-ordinator
18. Contribute to the Business School’s international, programme and professional body accreditations
19. Contribute to the wider work of the School, Faculty and University through input to project teams, working groups and committees

Lecturer Grade F
20. Evidence or the potential to provide an outstanding educational experience, rooted in strong disciplinary knowledge that engages, challenges, and inspires our students
21. Ability to deliver research-led teaching, making effective use of technology to enhance learning
22. Evidence or potential for internationalising the curricula
23. Ability to develop and secure research funding
24. Experience of or capability to publish international and world-leading research

Lecturer Grade G
In addition to providing evidence of your previous experience of the criteria above, to be considered for a Grade G Lectureship you must also meet the follow criteria:
40. A sustained international/established research and innovation profile and proven track record in international and world-leading publications
41. Evidence of developing and securing grant capture
42. A track record of engaging with external stakeholders, generating real-world impact from research
43. Evidence of effective use of disciplinary and proactive research and a developed international research profile
44. Evidence of your contribution to the Strategy, International Business and Society (SIBS) Research Community within the LWO Subject Group
45. Experience of attracting and supervising PGR students
46. Supervision of undergraduate and taught postgraduate students’ research projects
47. Substantial experience of designing and delivering high quality teaching and learning material, resources and activities for students
48. Ability to undertake a management and leadership role
49. Evidence of active citizenship in the Business School community
Qualifications
Lecturer Grade F
50. A good Honours degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
51. PhD (or equivalent) at or near completion (strictly within three months of submission at time of application) in a relevant subject aligned to the SIBS Research Community
52. A relevant Professional Body Membership as appropriate to the subject area (Desirable)
53. HE teaching qualification (or equivalent experience) (Desirable)
Lecturer Grade G
54. In addition to meeting the criteria for the Lecturer Grade F candidates must also meet the following criteria:
