Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care. As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in a home care setting, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily living activities.
Responsibilities
1. Personal care needs
2. Management of saliva/secretions (suction machine has been ordered)
3. Management of PEG feeds and flushes
4. Monitoring of weight due to weight loss
5. Continence care
6. Management of skin integrity
7. Full assistance with moving and handling ensuring risk assessment is followed
8. Anticipation of all needs
9. Reassurance and management of distress
10. Administration of medications via PEG
11. Monitoring of pain
12. On-going therapy for management of posture
13. Night time needs
14. Assistance with hydrotherapy
Requirements
1. Minimum 2 Years Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant (required)
2. Minimum 1 year experience with Brain injury / spinal injury (required)
3. Minimum 1 year experience with Peg feeding (required)
4. A valid UK driving licence with vehicle (required)
5. A genuine passion for providing high-quality care to vulnerable individuals
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary

Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour
