Supplier Quality Delivery Improvement Specialist
Location: Yeovil, UK (5 days on site per week)
Duration: 1 Year
Frequency: Full-time
Travel: 10 Hour/150 Mile Travel Cap Per Week
Rate: £39.43 per hour (Outside IR35)
Duties:
1. Develop positive relationships and work closely with quality leaders to manage, implement, and track supplier improvements.
2. Support process and product audits for proactive risk management.
3. Support authorities (FAA, EASA, CAAC) and customer audits.
4. Support and participate in PFMEA activities, Work Instruction Improvements, and Control Plan effectiveness with suppliers.
5. Ensure supplier compliance while driving systematic problem solving and process improvement plans to deliver performance.
6. Support and evaluate prospective supplier Quality Systems.
7. Support and evaluate procedures for compliance to contractual and regulatory requirements.
8. Support the Expedite of product to meet customer needs.
9. Monitor supplier Quality metrics associated with supplier capability, trends, and related production improvement efforts.
10. Drive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects.
Required Experience and Skills:
1. 5 or more years of experience in aerospace, automotive, and/or other related industries.
2. Broad technical experience across products, electrical and mechanical depending on specific supplier assignments.
3. Ability to work directly with suppliers daily, influencing and working closely with sourcing commodity leadership teams and Quality.
4. Effective communication with senior management, a big picture strategic mindset, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
5. Experience using basic Six Sigma techniques.
6. Experience with project management and Kaizen facilitation.
7. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.
8. Local country citizens fluent in local language.
