Position: Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care Location: DE21 Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per year (DOE) Up to £4,500 in annual bonuses Start Date: ASAP We are looking for a dedicated Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential care home. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate professional to manage and oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring the safety, development, and well-being of the children in our care. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring all care practices meet regulatory standards and that the home operates efficiently. This role is key in providing a nurturing environment and leading a team that supports and empowers the children to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the children's residential care service, ensuring high standards of care and safeguarding. Oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring tailored support for each child. Manage and support a team of care staff, ensuring they are well-trained and motivated. Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and guidelines, preparing for and managing inspections. Work closely with external agencies, families, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for the children. Monitor and assess the children's progress and well-being, adapting care plans as needed. Manage budgets and resources, ensuring the home runs efficiently and effectively. Requirements: Must hold a relevant NVQ in Residential Care Management (not Social Care), ideally NVQ Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care. Must hold a full UK driving license and be a manual driver. Proven experience in a children’s residential care setting. Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team. A passion for delivering high-quality care and improving the lives of children and young people. Excellent understanding of safeguarding, regulatory compliance (Ofsted), and best practices in children's residential care.
