We’re looking for an I&C (Instrumentation & Control) Project Manager, who will be the key figure for assigned projects, overseeing their entire lifecycle (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning). You’ll ensure delivery meets HPC project safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, your role will involve managing projects in a matrix-managed, multi-disciplinary team. You’ll be collaborating with contractors, and overseeing contracts managed by other parts of the HPC Project. What you’ll be doing… As an I&C Project Manager, you'll oversee projects from design to commissioning, ensuring they meet HPC's safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives. You'll manage multi-disciplinary teams, contractors, and key contracts while aligning with broader project goals. Your role includes: • Leading diverse project teams, defining resources, and ensuring clear roles. • Overseeing system design, manufacturing, integration, installation, and commissioning. • Managing schedules, risks, and dependencies across HPC and contractor teams. • Ensuring safe, on-time, and within-budget project delivery. • Resolving technical issues, driving problem-solving, and adopting best practices. • Coordinating site activities, including transport, storage, and commissioning. Who you are… You have strong experience in Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems, with a good understanding of UK regulatory standards. A proven project manager, you thrive in complex, regulated environments, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance. Key skills and experience: • Successfully delivering projects in dynamic, high-risk environments. • Managing the full project lifecycle, including safety case delivery. • Overseeing contractors, consultants, and NEC/FIDIC contracts. • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills. • Handling complex interface coordination and large-scale hardware/software integration.
